Google Chrome Uninstallation

I downloaded and installed Google Chrome on my mac, but I didn't like it. But after a while I wanted to download it again.

When I installed and opened it, it showed the same Recently Closed things and there wasn't a Welcome Screen, so it looked like it just left off before I uninstalled it. Do you guys know a way to do a complete fresh install?

Quit chrome
Delete the folder (Your home directory) / Library / Application Support / Google / Chrome
Re-run Chrome

basically, the user's application preferences aren't stored IN the application, but in your home folder (like the previous reply says), so even if you uninstall an app and reinstall it, you'll have all your preferences still since you didn't delete those.

It makes a lot of sense.. If you uninstalled Microsoft Word, would you want all your documents to be deleted too?? Or if you removed a browser, would you want to lose all your bookmarks?

Not unless you specifically decided so...

I think AppCleaner removes applications and finds all files associated with it and deletes those too

Is Google Chrome much safer than Safari? Also, when I get my iPad 2, I'm gonna need to sync bookmarks, Google Chrome doesn't support that in iTunes right?

Safeness: During the Pwn2Own hacking contest, Safari on a Macbook Air had a security exploit exploited within the first 5 seconds. Google had offer an additional $10,000 to entice hackers to try to beat Chrome (in addition to the 10,000 already being offered, BTW amount of money may be wrong, but iThink it's right.). Nobody hacked Chrome successfully in the three day contest.
