Google contacts

On my Mac Mini (brand new 04/21/13) when I set up google mail I do not have the option of turning on CONTACTS. It's not there. I tried setting up as an EXCHANGE and the server address of M.GOOGLE.COM will not work.
This is the way it s set up on my iPhone and iPad.

Google has shut down new attachments to the Google Sync feature unless you're a paying Google Apps subscriber. Your iPhone & iPad can continue to use the feature but you can't set any new connections that way.

You'll need to use CardDAV to link your Gmail to your Contacts app.
