Hi,

I use Google Drive to sync my Documents folder on my Mac. In the iOS Google Drive app I am able to access my computer's Documents folder within it.

In the Files App, it looks like I am only able to access files in the Google Drive app itself and not other folders synced with Google Drive. Am I missing something or is this not allowed at the moment?

Thanks

I have seen that article before. That doesn't answer my question. Google Drive lets you sync folders that are outside the "Google Drive Folder" on your computer. The Files app only shows files in the "Google Drive Folder" and not other folders that are synced with Google Drive. My issue is I cannot see these outside folders. I was hoping to use the new Files app because it looks nice but it does not look like I can.

Yep. Same here. I think that’s just the way it is for now. Hopefully in the future we’ll be able to access the synced google files from the Files app. This is my first Apple product (iPad pro 12.9) and while the hardware is killer, I’m constantly thwarted by the convoluted iOS. Seems every time I want to do something I’m met with "Oh, sorry, you can’t do that." Very frustrating. I thought the Files app might be the answer to a lot of my "get-it-in-and-out-of-the-iPad-OH-WAIT!-where-is-that-file-really-stored" problems. But Files app seems to be more of a file viewer at this point. I’m almost ready to go back to my Surface Pro. Sigh..... :(
