All,

Apologies for yet another "which phone" thread but am thinking of purchasing a Google Edition S4 or HTC one and most of the article on either of these phones are from they were first released and wonder if any of you have either phones and can tell me what you think of them now. The cost is not an issue as I will be buying off contract regardless of what phone and getting.

Primary reason I would get either is that I would think it would run more lag free than the original counterparts but my worry, for both, is that the camera does not work as well (particularly, the HTC One). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Personally the camera's are the biggest difference between the two phones and the s4 blows the ONE away in that category. I actually prefer the feel of the s4 in hand compared the the ONE, but that is all preference.

If your biggest concern is camera get the s4....if you do not like plastic get the ONE.

As optics are important, I'd say go for the S4 over the One but the One is capable of taking some half decent shots.

Here are a few from my HTC One (fully converted to a GPE edition device).

As a simple point and shoot it does me fine. :)

I think my One running the GE ROM is pretty great, but I agree that the camera sucks. Aside from that it's a great phone.

I purchased a GPE S4 a few weeks ago. I'm loving it.

Rooted for Adaway and a fix needed in 4.3 for certain apps to write to the SD card.

Considered the one as well of course. I couldn't really form into words why I chose the S4 over the one for what its worth. They are both lovely.
