No matter what I do, I can't get beyond the sign in screen.

Until this was released, Facebook messenger was the only cross-platform service.

There are many IM apps for iOS. Some of them are for single services like gtalk or yahoo messenger and some are multi-service like Trillian.

Note: I don't use Trillian so all I know is that it's multi-service.

you can install android emulators for this, because we need notifications going insane on the computer and on the phone at the same time no gracias.

And yes it looks like it's fullscroll the culprit uninstalled it and works like a charm
