Arrived today and wow this is good.

My Partner hates my homepods and likes google a lot better. The HomePod for whatever reason decides to stop playing music Randomly when i’m not there....weird I know

She was using it today using Spotify as i’ve Given that a go over Apple Music and had no issues. While everything she asked it has no issues unlike the homepods which we know isn’t exactly smart.

Sound wise it’s far louder than I was expecting. We aren’t music mad we just like to listen to music in evening and during dinner for example. Homepods are obviously a lot louder but we don’t really badly need that sound. What the hub provides I have to say is perfectly good enough.

When speaking to the hub you don’t need to repeat anything it’s flawless and sound wise with the volume is ideal and the screensavers I think are a great touch.

The night clock when it gets late is that ideal that i’m Tempted to buy a 2nd google hub for the bedroom for my night clock even though my partner wants it her side of the bed...

It’s early days but I would certainly say to anybody they are a great buy who wants a decent little music player/assistant that knows a lot and a night clock. Google certainly made a good decision by not including a camera.

Nice! Your impressions of the Google Home Hub are encouraging. I bought a Google Home Mini 3-pack during a Black Friday deal (gave 2 of them away as gifts, kept the 3rd) and was surprised at how useful it is. Now that I know I make use of it, I'm willing to look at something like the Home Hub.

Please, keep us posted on how you're using it.

I've been threatening to get a Google Home Hub myself just for the ability to instantly see who's at the door when my Nest Hello rings. It just seems weird having a HomePod, Google Home Hub and Alexa Echo Dots everywhere.

Does the home hub run any apps at all? Like would I be able to use Sonos with it?

YouTube works well with it and over air play you should be able to. Not really gone over everything with it yet

I picked up a Home Hub when they were $75-ish at Wal-Mart a month or two ago. It replaced a Google Home Mini on my nightstand, and I've really been enjoying it. It's perfect for "at-a-glance" information and I enjoy the slideshow of photos and beautiful scenery when I'm not using it. One thing that I've noticed in comparison to the Home Mini, is the microphones don't seem to be as good on the Home Hub as the Home Mini. But other than that, I'm really happy with the purchase.
