I have updated my website and page title text since submitting my site to Google about 6 weeks ago. However, my Google search listing displays the old, unedited title text. Should I expect this to change in due course, or will I need to submit a new sitemap for my changes to be displayed? Or what?

Resubmitting a sitemap would likely speed things up. Also check out the expires meta tag it could help in the future, though a sitemap file would also have this type of information if you put it in there.

All depends how often google spiders your site. Sounds like not to often, so you need to do what angelwatt said, or get more links and traffic, build up your page rank, and get spidered every few days.

New sitemap? OK, check.

Do I need to do this every time I make changes to my site (eg. adding new pages)?
