I have two phones. iPhone and Samsung. My contacts are backed up to google and I don’t want them to anymore. I want them to back up to iCloud. The Samsung is changing things around or shall I say google is, labeling wise.

How do I export my google contacts to the iCloud without losing anything. Thank you.

I assume you have a Mac and already logged into your iCloud account in System Preferences?

1. Go to contacts.google.com
2. Click on Export in the left sidebar
3. Select Export as vCard
4. Open Contacts app on Mac
5. Click on File in the menu bar
6. Select Import...
7. Choose the exported vCard file

It should import all your contacts. Make sure they are imported into the "iCloud" section of Contacts app, not the "On My Mac" section. You can check by looking at the left sidebar of Contacts app. If it imported all contacts into the "On My Mac" section, then simply select all contacts and manually drag them to the "iCloud" section.

Is there a way to import them into iCloud.com without importing them in the Mac app? Thank you.

It’s it easy ? Will it bring everything g over ?

It’s not working. On my upstairs max (moms) I import them from iCloud.com and only 468 of the 512 come over to my phone. You see them all there in iCloud.com but as I said only 468 of them come over to the phone.

When I goto the MacBook Pro and do like you said only 48 get sent to the phone. 512 are on the computer and only 48 get downloaded to the phone.

I don’t get it. Help.

I do not have a Mac (only iPhone XR & mini iPad). Is it the same on iPad?

As an FYI exporting via VCard or CSV from iCloud also has been having issues missing many contacts the last week or so.
