Google Latitude or something similar?

Back in Feb Google released 'Latitude' for almost every phone but the iphone. They claimed it was "Coming Soon", but no news has come out at all since.

Is there currently an app that can report where I am, and post the results to somewhere that can be viewed on a desktop?

I'm leaving on a 3 week tour of the US with my band, and thought it might be neat if some friends can see exactly where I am.

Hopefully apple and google release version 3 of maps before iPhone 3.0. I want latitude!!!

Too bad the tour is almost over. Um int the French Quarter of New Orleanstonight, and head to Daytona Beach tomorrow.
