Google loses Nexus One trademark to Portland-based Integra Telecom

Google's bid for a trademark on its Nexus One smartphone has been denied by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which concluded last week that the name is too similar to a trademark held by Portland-based Integra Telecom.

Eh, this is likely a nonevent. Integra is one of the smaller guys. Google and Integra will come to an "agreement," and the unwashed masses would know no better.

Hard to have too much passion for that name anyway. They can buy if deemed worth it or simply intro a new model with a new name ..adding to the hundreds upon hundreds of model names out there already. Non-news to me.

You mean learn from apple in like how apple failed to secure the "iPhone" trade market before they released the iPhone.

Come on apple this is just clueless bashing.

What’s a trade market? Did I miss the part of the article where Apple commented?
