For some reason my Google map takes forever to find where I am, and that's if it even does. Now before I go to the Apple Store for this issue, would it be a good idea to restore it 1st? Will this maybe fix the issue?

Maybe it's because you're in Chicago and surrounded by tall buildings? iPhone has a weak GPS chip.

I'm about 20 miles west of Chicago in the suburbs. My wife has a 3G also and her is a lot faster at finder her spot then mine and we'll be in the car together.
It wasn't like this before, I use it for work and just maybe the last month or so it's been like this.

If it's not software related, restoring won't help. So I guess your best shot is to replace it at genius bar.

I might try an appointment, and watch it work fine lol

You think it would be worth restoring just to see? If I do it won't be until later because it might take awhile.

My girlfriend's phone actually had the same issue, and we swapped it with Apple. Chances are they'll just take your words for it and swap it, unless you happen to be in an outdoor Apple, which they might walk outside and test it out.

Ok thanks, I'll make an appointment when I have time this week.
