Uninstalled 9 because of the annoying "feature" of having nearby attractions show at the bottom of the screen... wherever I am. Until I can hide that, I'm out. Also the search bar looks like it got bigger. I want more map data displayed on the screen, not less.

Looks like someone thinks Google Earth and Google Maps is the same app.

P.S. You simply swipe down on those images in Google Earth and they disappear.

No, Zwhaler is correct.

The "Explore around you" banner on the bottom can't be hidden.

So hopefully that means they got rid of that stupid banner. :)

I didn't have any banners on 9.0 either. What phone are you on?
