Has anyone had issues with Google Maps not updating the turn by turn directions (i.e. the instructions at the top bar of the map) for a long period of time ? The directions eventually update after about 20-30 seconds, but that is problematic if you have a few quick turns in succession. The arrow on the map is accurate and it updates fine.

This issue happens on both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my wife's 11 Pro and persists between iOS 13, 13.1, and 13.1.1.

Happening to me too. Something must of happened. There is no voice instructions too. The maps work but no audio. Anyone else experiencing the same?
I presume this is due to iOS 13 or maps version 5.27 ?

I was thinking and I haven't tested this, could it be a bug with the volume and silence switch?
Mine is always off. I need to test it out to and switch my ringer on and turn the volume up before plugging in my phone to the car to see if this fixes it.

It looks like there is some kind of bug even if there is a few of us having this issue. Mine is there is no audio but the screen directions look ok.

I haven't tested mine since iOS13, but the previous bug I had is when running Google Maps if I wanted to increase the volume, I would press the side volume buttons but that would adjust the ring volume rather then the app volume!

Hence I always had to quit and run YouTube, play a video, adjust the volume, then go back into maps and it would keep that volume level.

Not sure if this is still the case, but either way, Google Maps seriously needs an update!!

Confirmed it's fixed too. Typically Google, they don't acknowledge the issue or bug fix in the release notes. The changelog is a generic wishy-washy 'we made improvements'. Useful! :/
