Google Maps - No 3D?

Where did the 3D building/terrain view go in Google Maps for iPad and iPhone? I can only get a flat satellite view on either of my devices now. I can still launch the Google Earth app to get their 3D view. Did they strip that feature out of the Google Maps app or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Don't know about any settings but I have 3-D buildings in Default View and a selection for Terrain Map Type (and Satellite) on my 10.5" iPad. Version 4.54.8, iOS 11.4.1.

I have the selection for the three map types, but no option whatsoever to bring the 3D back in the satellite view. Weird.
