I tried looking this up but couldn’t find a answer.

In looking for a solution I came across some articles that say it could be years for Apple Maps to be on the same level as Google Maps if ever.

Me personally I just use Google Maps exclusively and Apple Maps on occasion.

I’m fairly sure there’s no way to do this. You can use Google takeout to download your maps data, but I don’t think there’s any way to import it into Apple Maps. Maybe we should send Apple feedback about an import option.

I like Apple Maps for navigation, except that the arrow isn’t pointing straight in the travel direction. That bothers me enough not to use it. It tries to center the road instead even if it’s curved.

... I came across some articles that say it could be years for Apple Maps to be on the same level as Google Maps if ever.

Just came back from a week long Florida trip literally hours ago. On day 2 switched from Apple Maps to Google. Problems: no response from iCloud, terrible routings.

I'd love to use Apple Maps but it’s still not ready for prime time. Every time I go on a trip all my trip planning is done in Contacts (Apple Maps Favorites has never worked). I keep hoping but by day 2 or 3 I inevitably give up and do the copy and paste to Google Maps routine. A lot of people want the UI, the integration and the graphics, all superior to Google. But for getting me places it doesn’t cut it. Plus, with CarPlay, Google's UI is decent.

I'm not sure Apple will ever catch up. They've had more than enough time and still aren’t close. Read these forums and all people talk about is eye candy on the way to work and what Apple has improved. I've never gotten the impression people use the app for navigating.

One thing that I read on this blog about Apple Maps and why it isn’t and may never be as good as Google Maps is that Google is a data company Apple is a Hardware and Software Company

Although Google has Android and the Pixel their thing is data and maps are all about data and Google has been doing data for quite some time.
