Does google maps use the internet to find the locations, or are all the maps somehow stored inside the phone so you can use it without a connection?

it calls up the information over the internet. it might have the last location there on memory, but any new locations will require internet access.

It uses the internet. EDGE seems to work fine for the Maps part, but can be a bit slow at times for satellite imagery (at least in the areas I've used it).

i seem to have problems finding some locations that normaly I wouldn't have a problem finding using a computer (google). Anyone having the same problem?
