Today I had a little red "1" on my App Store icon informing me of an update for my Google Mobile app...Is this the same app that Apple has taken down from the App Store and if so will this update cripple it? Thanks for any information...

No. I think you're referring to the Google Voice application that was rejected.

If you extend out the notice line it tells you what the changes are. That's for the Google search application. They've added an extra feature to voice search and a couple of other thing.

anyone having issues with the voice search not letting you finish speaking? It also starts listening way to early. Its not even at my ear yet and I hear the little noise.

I'm having the same issue with the voice search; at first I thought it wasn't working at all (didn't hear the beep) but then when I could hear it, I'm only able to say one short word before the search starts.

I've had the opposite problem since 3.0. I'll put it to my ear and nothing. I take it away and it thinks it's listening but it really isn't. If I try a few times it will eventually trigger. If I manually trigger the voice search it works more times than it doesn't but it's not reliable.

I've had an excellent experience with the update. The voice search seems much more responsive. Before, I would hear the "bleep" only about 10% of the time I put the phone to my ear. Now, it seems to be working much better. No more "little voices" though when it is thinking.

Anyone find any hidden features? Besides what I describe above, I really see no difference from the last version.
