Any Google Music users out there who have tried to add this service to their homescreen via Safari?

Backgrounding doesn't work. Is there a way around this?

No, unfortunately. If they allowed those to run in the background like Safari it could lead to problems.

Have you had a look at the Google Music apps in the store?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought that was case.

I'm looking to buy gMusic. But of course, I'd rather not pay if I could. In this case, I could either always launch Safari or buy the app. I'll see if I can get used to launching Safari, since I primarily use iCab.

I've added google music to my homescreen and it doesn't run in the background. There are apps such as gmusic which runs in the background just fine. It's a bummer that the google music site doesn't run in the background. :(
