Google+ Notifications not showing up in iOS 5

I have Google+ installed and even though I have notifications enabled, they do not appear. Is this a known issue?

Go to Settings > Notifications. Is Google+ in the Notification Center section?

Yep, and it is activated with Banner Alerts, Sounds, and View in Lock Screen.
