How do you back up to google photos and delete SOME of the photos on your iPhone and still keep it on google photos?

I use google photos all the time. Phone automatically uploads the images to google photo when i open the app and when they uploaded i use a shortcut (one tap) to delete all files in the phones gallery.

How do you back up to google photos and delete SOME of the photos on your iPhone and still keep it on google photos?

Go into your Camera Roll app (not the Google Photos app) and delete the photos you don't want on your phone. That doesn't delete them from your Google Photos library.
