They typically encase it in banana flavored gelatin, but I hear you can get it in plum or key lime if you can manage to get your request through.

Gelatin is such an improvement vs. when they used to encase packages in concrete.

"It's nice, a little dusty ..."
[doublepost=1481212174][/doublepost]OP, if you wanted to just say you ordered a Pixel, why not just say that instead of this weird ruse ...

carphone warehouse delivered 2 of my phones in a bag

That's normal for them and also its subsidiary mobiles.co.uk.

Typically they come via DPD in the sealed bag along with sim package. Inside the phone is obviously in it's standard box.

Never really had anything turn up damaged, though I'd agree it's not really a wise move on their part.

I just wish they'd restock the Pixel XL's on the Google Store. :(

I recently purchased a Chromecast from the Google Store and if I recall correctly, it came in a small cardboard box with air packs to fill the space (is that right word, "air packs?"). Pretty run of the mill. Don't forget, you have the actual product packaging to help protect your phone as well, if that is what you're concerned about.

I stand corrected. I've never received anything via courier in a bag.

Have you seen one up close / used one yet? I'm still fully committed to my iOS devices, but if I was going with a personal Android device, it'd be a Pixel (XL specifically) hands down.
Yes, I used one for a short time at the Verizon Store. Solid device. SO, SO smooth. Can't wait to get some real-world use.
