I've been using the Google Play Music app (paid subscription) across a number of devices for a few years now and have been very happy with it.
I'm a little confused by the You Tube music app which I was prompted to download. As a music app it performs fairly well and has a nice interface. However, the 10000 or so songs I uploaded to Google don't appear in the app as they do in the Play Music app. So, I'm a little confused. I can stream any song or album I want without adverts or paying so it must recognise that I have a Play Music subscription. I thought Google's intention was to produce one app where your own music appears plus all of their own and any songs which happen to have a video.
Does anyone know what Google are doing with this - I would hate to lose all the music that I have uploaded if Play Music is eventually abandoned in favour of You Tube Music. Also, due to a HDD getting corrupted and my own carelessness, I no longer have all the music I uploaded on my computer or on a HDD.
