The playable Pacman logo loads on iPhones as well. Still trying to figure out how to use a touch interface but the little guy did move some for me.

http://www.google.com

Clicking on the screen in the direction you want to go seems to work.

It's HTML4 + Javascript before anyone jumps out and marvels at HTML5. Pretty cool, but a little clunky on the iPad. Must be costing Google absolute heaps to have that on their front page considering the traffic they get!

Almost everything about the game except the shape of the maze (obviously Google-fied) has been preserved-- even the funny intermission after completing the 2nd/strawberry maze. Only made it to the 2nd peach, so I don't know whether Shadow's foot got ripped off after the apple maze. My sk1llz are rather rusty. :)

And it's neither Flash nor HTML 5? Now, that's rather impressive.

I loved playing this on my iPhone. It made me think of some of the possibilities that could come around once the whole conversion from Flash to HTML5 is done for the iDevices.

It did. :)

Stacks of quarters that game took me for thirty years ago and it sure was fun

It's cool and awesome that Google has it there, but you could have done this 12 years ago (yes cross browser).
Audio would have been tricky without a plugin, but audio didn't work on my iPad with this version either so...

I was just about to post this. Pretty awesome that you can touch the screen in the direction you want it go and it works. See we don't need Flash!

I agree it's probably costing them a bit. But it is so worth it!
I only wish it was Joust up there.
