Just wondering if you guys also have this problem. When I download a video from Google (1997 Keynote to be exact) in Divx/avi format, it skips like crazy in quicktime. This doesn't happen in the Google Flash player. Also, it happens on both my iBook and iMac, so I do not think it's just me...but was wondering if you guys share the same issue. If any of you want a short video to test, here is one:

Thanks

I can get the link for macworld if you wanted it, I just thought it'd be easier to have someone download a 50 second clip than an hour+ for macworld.

Anyway did you watch it on the linked page or downloaded it onto your desktop and played it and it didn't stutter?

The same thing happens to me, no matter which video it is. It runs fine on the Web, but when I actually download the file, it stutters like you're describing.

I don't know why.

I think DiVX on mac has issues, I'm really not sure :/.

I had the same stuttering problems viewing the keynote. in Quicktime. The audio is out of synch in VLC but at least it doesn't stutter.

it happens to me all the time on QT for downloaded video from Google. however, it works fine w/ every other player, including ironically 5G iPod.

iBook G4 1.33Ghz/Rad9550/1GB RAM and Tiger 10.4.5 here

1. Played perfect video in QT, but the audio was stuttering.
2. Player perfect video AND audio in VLC - was the same if not better than viewing it online.

Regards
