With GV Mobile + and Google Mobile I have just a few questions.

1 - Are all text messages to and from my iphone FREE (no ATT charge for txt message)?

2 - Are ALL calls IN and OUT using the app FREE?

So if answer is yes I can get rid of my txt messaging and lower my monthly
time I pay for to ATT??

I see there are two similar GV apps, both by the same developer and both priced at $2.99:

GV Connect and GV Mobile +

Anyone know the difference?

Which one is better?

They're by different developers, they are essentially the same. I know there is a lot of love for GV Mobile+.

I'm actually waiting for an official Google Voice app from Google.

Oh, sorry -- you're right. (I just double-checked :))

I agree. Not only will it most likely be free, but (more importantly) it might integrate better.

I'll probably wait a little bit for an official Google app... but if it doesn't come soon, I'll snag GV Mobile+.

1-so long as you are not forwarding text messages to your actual phone number, then yes, they're free. That's what I do and I use a third party push app so I'm notified when a text comes in (also requires you to forward gv text messages to email but system works perfect). Once GV Mobile+ is updated with push notifications as the dev has said he's doing, it will be much easier.

2-no. This is not voip. A phone plan is still required.

GV mobile and Acrobitz SIP is almost the perfect att voice replacement. My SIP seems to work better in conjunction with GV Mobile compared to google voice mobile site. Making outgoing calls, sending/receiving texts are easy. Incoming
calls are hit and miss. Push notifications and Voip would be simply awesome if implemented.

I'm not paying $2.99. I'll wait for Google's app. Paying for Google products is lol.
