Hey,

I noticed awhile back that the Google Voice app changed it's app badge behavior. It used to always display the number of unread items in my Voice inbox (it would even go down without opening the app if I archived a message from my computer). Now it just displays the number of push notifications I've gotten since the app was last opened. Way less useful.

I noticed the change around the time I updated to iOS 5. Don't know if it's related to the OS update, a change in the Voice app, or to Voice itself. Has anyone else experienced this, or know anything about whether the way it used to be will ever return?

Thanks!

It's the way Google has formatted its app to show Badge count.

They used to do it differently. Why would they change it? Are you sure iOS 5 didn't have anything to do with the change in capability? I haven't seen any other apps behave the way Google Voice did (other than Mail, but that's a special one).
