Interesting, mine got stealth updated. Looks like one of the items was 911, maybe it was a legal issue or something they had to do to keep in compliance.

Everyone says Google Voice is a dead or useless app ?

I use it everyday for business, it is my voicemail, clients leave voice messages when I'm busy or already on the phone. It's super useful and a must have for me. I am happy with the way it is.

And almost out of nowhere another update today this time (finally) updating the UI and the icon and more things in the app itself (including more tie-ins with Hangouts).

It looks ugly compared to the previous version. I'm also in the UK so don't benefit from anything else.

I can now make GVoice calls via Hangouts.
