So, straight to the point. Is there any alternatives to Google Wave?

As some of you may know, Google Wave is not gonna exist starting next year. And that is not good news for me.

Being a student, i'm frequently involved in school group projects (at least 1/month), and Google Wave is an awesome platform to avoid actually physically meeting up. It allows for students to work on a group project a lot more efficiently - no need to check other's time schedule, less confusion, and there's always that one copy that everyone follows.

In other words, if i can't find an alternative to Google Wave for next year, my life will get a lot more complicated than it needs to. Thanks in advance for your help.
