Just curious, why would someone want an app store rss feeder over google reader (the mobile version designed for the iPhone)? I understand byline's offline read benefit, but am having difficulties seeing the benefits over google reader. Thanks!

I use NetNewsWire if that's what we are talking about. Good well designed interface and works with your newsgator account
+1 for NetNewsWire (on the iPhone and on the Mac). The NewsGator sync makes this the ultimate duo for reading on-the-go and when at home.
I am not saying there is a google reader app, referring to the mobile version of google reader. You basically navigate via safari to mobile google, click the reader tab and save to your home screen. Then when you hit the google reader button, it launches google reader mobile version .... So just trying to understand what these paid for rss feeds have over the free google reader.
I was thinking "because you have to load the google page, then click the reader tab then wait for it to load again, which is annoying," but I didn't realize you can add the others individually to the home screen. I just tried it and it works great! I have Gmail and Google Reader on my home screen, instead of the Google icon. Awesome!
Nope, no idea why you'd use a RSS app, Google Reader does the job well and quickly.

I would assume they are referring to Byline, which is actually a fairly good program, though being unable view individual tags is a dealbreaker for me at this time.
