I had an interesting experience using Apple Pay with the Apple Store app today. I placed the order inside the app using Apple Pay (selecting the Barclaycard Aviator Red card that I had on the phone), which went through. A few minutes later Barclay sends me a fraud alert text and an email asking to confirm the charge I just made. I confirmed it and all was well, but I kinda expected that they would be able to tell that I used it in-app and not bothered with that alert.

Anyone else ever run into something like that? If it helps, I swiped that exact card to pay for something else ~15-20 minutes before.

Just a case of your bank's computers sensing an unusual pattern of activity/frequency/location?
My bank's early warning recently saved me $1,800.
