So i got this iphone 5s, the owner told me he could not log out of FIND MY PHONE, he gave me his iCloud password, i shut down the phone and tried doing all this via iCloud on my MacBook, i got that little black x and removed it, yet, upon restarting the phone 'FIND MY PHONE Feature' returned!

I told the previous owner and he said this was the problem, no matter how many times he removed it when the phone was turned off as soon as it was turned back on again the FIND MY PHONE feature was back!

we also get a failure when trying to sing out on the phone using the password! says: VERIFICATION FAILED (There was an error connecting to iCloud) so its not the password its iCloud,

Can anyone advise on how to resolve this?

You may need to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network

In the Settings app, do you see a Mobile Data? I recalled some older iPhone or depending on the carrier or unlocked will need the correct APN setting or profile to access the carrier network.
