My phone won't restore. Stuck on connect to itunes screen

Are you using an iPhone 4S? From the quick searching online, error 1 appears to be a hardware problem relating to the baseband chip

Try a different computer, USB cable, USB port and see if changes anything

i think he is using iphone 6s from his signature.

OP. i am getting the same error on my 6s+ while in DFU mode. no luck restoring yet.

sacry stuff, jailbroke iphone 6 ok, was going to do iphone 6s+ later

Check that your security software and settings or an ADBlocker aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server. Make sure iTunes is up to date. Shut down and restart your computer

Try reading the OP's posted one more time. What you suggested isn't even possible.

Forgot to update this. I was trying to restore in my university computer lab after it boot looped, gave me error 1. Turned out, something was blocking the Apple update server despite the software already being downloaded, and my phone in DFU mode. When I got home, restored using my MacBook Pro, no errors.

Almost had a heart attack, since I'm basically just loaning the 6s from T-Mobile on the JUMP On Demand program.

yeah it was being blocked by your university, easy answer. No matter if you have the fw, iTunes still needs to talk to apple to confirm the fw installation
