First off I want to thank TMRaven and HellHammer for their help.

Welp it came in yesterday around noon. Took ten days to get here with the express shipping  but I'm not complaining to much. Never order from Apple the friday before the Fourth of July!

I ordered it with an Elgato eyetv one and extra optical cable. My girlfriend bought me the HDPVR for my birthday last month.

Getting everything outta the box.

Shiny Screen! :) I shaved my head a week ago...

Listening to Em, and playing around with iMovie

And the current state it's in now! :p

I'm glad to say that I woke up today to no new updates!!! Cheers to that. Anybody considering buying should definitely take the plunge! :p

There is absolutely no yellow tint issue. Or any dead pixels that I can recognize.

The 27" is huge! Granted I wouldn't settle for the 21.5", but this thing is almost as big as my Vizio 32" HDTV!

The speakers on it are amazing compared to that of a 2007 Macbook. Eminem's newest CD is sex to my ears.

EyeTv3 and the Hauppauge HDPVR work wonders together! I already got tests of my gaming up.

I plan on installing more RAM later down the road.

Overall it's a great machine. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Expect a ton of questions from me in the near future! ;)

Congrads!

But seriously.. get some proper desktop speakers! Then Eminem will be sex to your ears.

Haha all in good time. A couple months and it'll be fully loaded, nice speakers, a couple external drives, some nice software, and of course a few more sticks of RAM where it counts. ;)

10 days for expedited shipping?! Where do you live?

Spokane Washington. I ordered the 2-3 days shipping. However I bought some software to be preinstalled so instead of getting shipped out in 24 hours it took 1-3 business days. And then the 2-3 days of actual shipping on top of that. I ordered late Friday before the holiday so I figured that was the hold up.

Congrats and enjoy!

I'm into my seventh month with my i5 and have been very happy with it. It takes everything I throw at it in stride and has not given me any problems. I see myself keeping this at least until my Applecare warranty expires. I may treat it to more memory in a few months. :)

Congratulations on your new iMac :)

I've been lurking these forums for a while now, but finally registered and should say Hi ;)

Anyway, i've been thinking about getting an iMac for over a month now since i've gotten really tired of the PC. When my Pc crashed again for the 2323123 time, I swore to myself "Never PC, ever again".

Reading your post and seeing your images of you unpacking it.. Makes me wanna get an iMac now :(

But.. I'll see if I can wait for the new model. If that ever comes!

(Sorry about my english, not the best)

Good For YOU !!!

You have the machine I've been craving....however I don't have the physical space for a 27" so a 21.5 is in my future. Waiting for the "refresh" hopefully with i5 available in 21.5. Anyway, unpacking a new Mac is a joy. Been 8 long years for me. I've got the old half-vollyball iMac, BUT it's still a great computer, NEVER crashed once, just cant do HD video and video streams poorly. Hey it's over EIGHT frickin years old!!!
May yours last as long or longer. peace
