Got my AirPods Pro - Photo comparison with AirPods II

Overall thoughts~ sound and isolation is definitely an improvement upon AirPods II. Better bass, but it’s still one driver so everything is muddy and blurred together. Apple needs to start implementing multiple drivers to separate the bass, mids and treble. I wouldn’t recommend these over the existing AirPods II if you’re looking for sound quality improvement, it’s minimal at best. For convenience, stability and portability though the Aipods are still the best on the market. If you already have the AirPods II, it’s definitely not worth upgrading. Unless you desperately need the sound isolation or transparency mode. Better off spending your money on a better audiophile grade brand.

Now.... I need to find a case for my case before it scratches ?

How's the ANC compared to something like Bose QC25 or QC35/Sony XM3? I would understand they're not nearly as good, but on a scale of 1-10 (if you have experience with any of them) what would you rate these in comparison?

The noise cancelling/isolation isn't bad. Not the best I've heard, compared to some higher end IEMs I use but it's good enough for daily use. I mainly only use the AirPods during commutes and at the gym. Like MKBHD said in his early review video, I'm not sure how well the ANC is going to be on a plane or something.

I'm wondering if it could be improved if some third party companies made foam tips for them instead of the stock silicone.

Is it worth the upgrade from the Airpods 1 though?

Bass is better on AP2 imo, and NC is average, been testing all arvo.

From the AirPods 1, I'd say yes. My AirPods 1 battery after a year deteriorated so fast, it would last an hour at most while listening to music.

Is it worth the price and worth to upgrade?

From the AirPods 2, I'd say it depends if you really want the noise cancellation features.


I think the majority of people will enjoy them, as long as you don't compare the sound quality to other earphones around the same price. The new bass is booming, but not deep and clear like other multi-driver IEMs. For me, listening to Spotify high quality and some FLAC files, the bass seems to overtake the mids and high tones making everything sound a little messy.
