Got my email with Tracking info on 3G

Just a few minutes ago, I got an email with the tracking info saying I will rec by 430 pm on Friday. Yay! Anyone else?
 
Me too! I'm really excited! I was worried it would be some crazy FedEX ground shipment where they always come by the time my workplace shipping is done for the day so they just move on until whenever they can get there in time... So I guess they had them all this whole time and then shipped em all standard overnight.

Just got my tracking... Woo hoo!

Wifi shipped UPS for Saturday delivery, and many of us don't get UPS deliveries on Saturdays, but we could have gotten FedEx. 3G is a Friday release, and shipping FedEx. Oh the irony...

I'm going to walk into an Apple Store on Friday at 3pm and buy a 3G iPad. My theory is that they announced 5pm only to cover any unforseen fedex delays. If the store has it in stock, they will sell it earlier.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
 
Mine says it's shipping from Jonestown, PA, and the status is currently "Shipment information sent to FedEx", and the estimated delivery says "Estimated delivery

Apr 28, 2010", and info wasn't received until early on the 29th. We'll see.
 
I just called them. Even though I haven't gotten my tracking she said I am still scheduled for delivery tomorrow. She said as soon as it's on a truck I will get my tracking number.
 
I ordered two. One still says "Prepared for Shipment". FedEx tracking info on the other says in part:

Service type Standard Overnight - Indirect
Anticipated ship date Apr 28, 2010
Estimated delivery Apr 29, 2010 by 3:00 PM
Destination
SOUTHFIELD, MI

Doubt that delivery date is accurate.
 
Me too, still prepared for shipment! I can't take this any more lol it's killin me. I wonder if it's by the order number or by state, I'm in VA, not so far from PA.

Good to know. Thanks for checking. I got my pre-order in at 0533 PT the day the ordering started for my 64GB+3G but seem to be near the tail of of getting these notices (the "Late April" reconfirmation was well after the first wave hit and still no shipping). Hopefully I get a tracking number soon.
 
Yet another member of the Late April gang. Ugh, plus my shipping method has been schizo-ing between standard overnight and priority.

Someone in another thread mentioned the possibility of orders being shipping in a geographical order, East Coast first. Can those receiving shipping notices chime in with their region to see if this theory holds?

Indiana, no word yet.
 
I'm in San Diego, and mine still says late April, not yet shipped. :( First time ordering from the Apple Store online...not sure I want to do it again for a big product.

You worry too much! They said you will have it the 30th and your already seconding guessing their online services? Check the calendar, it's only the 29th. You will have it on time. Don't worry.
