Hey,

I bought my Macbook Pro on Friday and haven't regretted it since. First the Apple-salesman said that they were out of stook, but then he remembered that they had a new shipment just that day. He went to check and came back with my new MBP 2.2 Ghz (glossy display) :)

Now since a lot of you complain about a yellowish display and most say, that they have a Samsung display, I want to know, how I can actually figure out, what make I have and when my MBP was built?

I'd like to report you about any display problems, but I am on the road and do not have the environment to figure out.

Dont go looking for problems, because you might find some.

If the problem jumps out at you, then worry about it.

To find out technical specs go to "about this mac" and one of those buttons gives you the "system profiler" which is also in "Applications/Utilities"

It doenst tell me what brand the display is and what week the MBP was built in, though...or at least, I didn't find it ;)

and there is another problem... the click button seems a bit loose on one side...

In the Display Preferences, under color, you should be able to find detailed information of make and model of your display. The one that ends with 67 is LG, the one that ends with 68 is Samsung.

The two digits on position 3 and 4 of your serial number tell you the build week. (XX24XXXX-XXX would mean a machine built in week 24)

Device manufacturer and device model are not listed for some reason :(
