Yes, we have to have front plates also, and I thought about using it up there but the plates are made really thin, and they only fasten by the top two screws and the bottom just kinda hangs down. The Deery holders the dealership put on have little clips at the bottom the plate locks into, and then the holder acts as structural support. The Apple holder doesn't, and I'm afraid the plate will bend back and scratch the bumper. I'm thinking about gluing the plate into holder to get some support, and then trying it out on the front. I just don't know if hot glue or super glue would hold it in tight enough, as there is a lot of wind force hitting the front plate. Maybe Gorilla Glue would work, never used it before but have heard some pretty good words about it.
Thanks for all the "sweet" comments! I'm pretty stoked myself - in fact I got pulled over on the way to the courthouse for 74 in 55. Luckily, I knew the cop and I just told him I was in a hurry to the courthouse (it actually was closing soon) and he just told me to slow down a bit.
ITASOR - yes, this is an '07 Rav also, and I do love it as well.
