It took just over 2 weeks but took delivery of my new Imac 20 yesterday. I am a newbie who is very very impressed. If one justs sits back a second and imagines how things should be instead of how (and where) they were in the WinWorld then life is really good. Will count on this community for navigating around any speedbumps. This is great stuff folks.

Congrats! How much ram do you have in it? What do you plan on using your iMac for?

If you have iTunes library, then I'd DEFINITELY download a piece of software called CoverFlow. It made the world of difference to listening to music on iTunes for me!

Download it here! It's awesome. A great piece of eye candy too for showing off your Mac's awesome graphics...

I would recommend doing none of what the above two posters said, and instead use the Mac *as is* for like a week, so you get used to how all Macs run, then decide if you want to modify it in any way.

Got my new Mac

Have 2 gig ram 256 video 250 hd. Only change I've made was replacing the mouse with a Logitech. Use for work stuff at home (MSOffice), will have to try the access to a citrix environment through a Gateway, digital photography, general screwing around and keeping track of my NFL fantasy teams.

Nice upgrades that machine must fly. :)

Congrats on the new machine!
