Well I broke down and bought it this evening at the Houston Galleria.
Stock model with the 160gig 5400 rpm HD 2.4ghz w/ 2 gig ram
I dont see any kinda yellowish tint so I am guessing the screen is good to go, lol the guy helping me pick it out had me put the powerbook g4 1.67 next to it and HOLY hell, this led screen is close to sinfully bright, anyways I went with the matte screen since I teach lecture 8-10 m-thursday and then do my own classes from 11-5 everyday so likesay this is a school comp
I haven't gotten around to running anything on it as I have been taking time to install stuff and transfer my files over, however I am wondering if anybody else has a rather perky sound going on with the cdrom built in. Likesay on my pbook it just took the cd in pretty easy and quietly, this macbook pro takes some push to get it in the bay and then has some loud sound winding it up, once its going for installs it sounds fine, so im just checking to make sure thats normal.
And now I can't figure out which firewire port is 400 and which is 800 so if somebody could clarify that for me much appreciated
