got questions to unlocking iphone

hey,
new here thought i'd ask some questions and see if you got answers.
So I have the first model iphone and I wonna know how to unlock it so that I can use a t-mobile sim card.
these are my questions:
*what kind of service am I looking to get into with t-mobile?
*I heard that the first model iphone is the only iphone you can use the internet with t-mobile, is that true?
*if my t-mobile service provides internet will it work on my iphone?
*will I be able to send pictures with iphone once its unlocked ?(it still seems like it wont do that)
*and where can I look up how to unlock this iphone step by step?

Let me knock these out one by one for you, but just so you know there is an "iPhone Hacks" forum on here and your questions would be answered better there. I'll see about getting this moved there for you.

1. Probably a plan with an unlimited data plan, and as many minutes and texts as you feel you'll use.
2. I believe all models can use the internet, yet Visual Voicemail is not supported on T-Mobile in the US.
3. Isn't this the same as question number 2?
