got the LG G2 today from verizon after paying my $400 deposit i love the LG G2 phone its the best android phone yet was thinking about getting the LG G3 but went with the G2 i don't like phones any thing biger then 5.2" any thing over 5.2" is over kill has far has screen sizse go screen size of 5.2" is the sweet spot for me


any ways am in joying my new G2 and cant wait for android 5.0

Well did you consider the size of the device? Just curious.

Congratulations on the purchase! Did you compare the G2 and the G3 side by side before deciding? On paper the LG G3 seems that it'll be a lot larger with the 5.5" display but it is actually only a tad bit bigger than the G2.

yes the LG G3 was 5.5" was LG G2 was 5.2 so i went with the 5.2" LG G2

I have always liked LG , they make great hardware including there HDTVs . People think Samsung is the best but LG is a good choice too .

I got my G2 last year when it was released and absolutely love it.

Last week I rooted it and installed a new rom on it for the first time. A rom called CloudyG3 . Its bascially a port of the G3 software onto the G2. Wow! Not only is it like having a new phone all over again, its also much much nicer I think then the G2 software.

Might be worth having a look. The benefits of the G3 in the G2!

that was the $400 deposit that i had too pay for 2 year contract it was $79 so all togeter pluse tax i ended up paying $519

Hmm. You said screen size was perfect with the G2. IPhone is a big step down in screen size.. I guess all that matters is your happy with your device.

did you notice any grainyness/oversharpening/dim display on the G3? it seem to suffer from a oversharpening effect , and the display honestly seems dim, its like the G2 display is honestly better then the G3 display.

Absolutely, this was one of the reasons I returned it.
Other flaws: dim display with backlight bleeding and overheating.

I have been using the G2 the past week or so and it is a great phone, I just do not like the back power and volume buttons though.

Good choice. I'd take the G2 over the G3 for the longer battery life and performance isn't held back by QHD resolution.
