So I have Win7 installed on it's own drive in my Mac Pro (MBR/NTFS formatted disk).

Is there some way to load that in a VM in OSX, or do I need to install another instance of Win7 in my VM software of choice?

If a VM can recognize and load my existing install... what VM software supports this and is there any trick to get it to work?

Thanks!

VMWare Fusion does this as does Parallels I believe. Runs a bootcamp install of Windows as a VM without having to create a whole new virtual machine from scratch.

Just start up fusion and it should automatically detect the bootcamp partition if it is mounted and bring you through the steps of setting it up.
