I have Cydia & Rock, now Cydia isn't working. My question is if I delete Cydia will I have any issues with the phone (3gs 3.1.2)? Now can I reinstall Cydia threw Rock and not have any issues as-well?

Your problem is probably caused by Rock, especially if you installed both Cydia and Rock at the same time during the jailbreak. I would suggest restoring and rejailbreaking installing only Cydia. If you must have Rock, you can install it later through Cydia.

thats bad advice because hes using a 3gs on 3.1.2. just continue to use rock for now until you tell us the problem with cydia so maybe we can help you fix it.

now thats good advice. you didnt mention a custom firmware in your first post. you said restoring and rejailbreaking.

I should add that if you have a tethered jailbreak you should not try what I've suggested. In that case...what is the problem you're having with Cydia?

The problem Im having with Cydia is it crashes on Launch, now the is old iboot so it's not tethered, also I don't really want to restore because of the hastle of the process. Know I've been jb sence last year when the phone came out with custom ipsw. Rock is good but I can't access a couple of repos that im use to checking. I really want Cydia back but with out the restore if possible.
