so I was wondering, why cant we just buy a USB cable that attatches to a GPS antenna, instal some GPS soft, and bam, have a 17 inch GPS screen.?

I was checking out these guys http://www.gpsy.com/ and you have to buy a GPS receiver, like a handheld one, then plug it in to you mac, then buy their soft for 60 bux, oh also a cable to connect the portable GPS to your mac. so it comes out to like 300 bux !

WTF !?

this dude had a PC laptop, and all he bought was a 100 dollar program, that came with the USB cable AND the GPS antenna !

so what the deal for us MBP and MB users ?

You don't need a cable...go bluetooth! I used GPSY for a bit with my Garmin GPS10x bluetooth GPS receiver. However, I found there were more options with Windows so I opted not to purchase the software. I went with the Garmin software provided (worked in Windows only).

nice !!!

what was you biggest con with GPSy the software ??

and what did the windows have to offer better ?

thanks
