GPS for "WiFi only" iPad

I am using a Sprint 4G Overdrive palm-size roving WiFi hotspot. I discovered it has a GPS. Using Safari, i enter the Overdrive's IP address (192.168.0.1). If I have activated the GPS, I just click "Map Me" and it shows me my exact location using maps.google.com or mapquest or Bing or Yahoo.
