A quick question for iPhone XR owners out there, what is the GPS reception like on it?
The reason I ask is because in January I am going to trade my iPhone X in for an XR and I am hoping the GPS reception is better on the XR than it is on the X.
In my experience with an Intel iPhone X the GPS has been noticeably worse than any previous GPS equipped iPhone I’ve owned.
I use the TomTom GO app and for most of the time it works fairly well, if just a little slow to respond but I’ve gotten use to that.
However it does quite often have an issue where I’ll be driving along and for no reason the arrow will suddenly veer off the road onto neighbouring streets or fields and it will stay like that sometimes for quite a few minutes before realising where I actually am and hopping back to where I am on the map.
This issue has occurred on older iPhones but it was very rare whereas on my X it happens semi regularly.
Now I know intel based iPhone X’s Have had quite a few GPS issues to begin with which have gotten better with updates and stuff but compared to the Qualcomm versions were noticeably worse.
Now the whole iPhone line is intel has the GPS reception improved on the newer models?
