I'm in search of an App for my iPhone. I need a to do list, but I'd like it to remind me that I need to do a certain task based off my GPS. So when I talk by the doctor's office it would pop up with a "Go in for check up" or when I walk into my dorm it remind me to "Go study"

I've seen an App like this for WebOS, but right now my iPhone is getting my love so I'd love an iPhone App that can do this

I don't think there is an app that will do that. Sure, iOS 4 allows backgrounding but not in the way that you'd probably be utilizing it. Such an app would more than likely need to be running full-time for it to be worth your while which would not be very battery efficient. I don't even see this as being very resourceful either. Why not just use a task manager with timed alerts? I don't know why you would suddenly need to make an appointment with the doctor each time you drive by it or have something tell you when you need to study (especially when you get home?). I would hope you have your priorities straight to put things such as healthcare and educational studies first.

I think that this is a great concept! Of course rudimentary things such as visiting the doctor and studying would be rather silly, but what about the random things that you have to do some times and always forget? For instance, in high school I would always get forms that I needed to take home and get signed. But by the time I was home and in front of a television, the forms would be the last thing I was thinking of. With a GPS alarm, the moment I got home I would be reminded and could just get the task done and out of the way.

You can list things to pick up at different stores, home projects, work reminders, list items your friends "borrowed" and remind yourself at their house,
How about a list of things NOT to do at a location:
Mary at dentist office NOT to clean teeth-she's rough!
Don't mention ***** at someone's house,
A particulaly bad pothole,
quite a few possibilities...

Why not post back some suggestions?:)

I am working on an app that does this. There was a bug in iOS 4.1 in the significant location change API so I could not make a lot of progress. Once I have it working, I will let you guys know. Maybe you guys can be my beta testers. If you have any other specific requests you can pm me.
