gpSphone on 1.1.3 help

i cannot seem to get this app to work. when i select to start a game i get a black screen with the controller buttons and some weird message on the top of the screen. do you need the bios for the app to work? if so, how do i add the bios if i have them/it? thanks.

If you're on a Mac, use Fugu (or WinSCP on Windows) or an application similar to it and SSH the bios file to /Applications/gpSPhone.

so i add the bios as gba_bios.bin and now when i try to start a game it goes to the screen with the controller with a blank screen for about a second then goes back to the springboard. as if i pressed the home button. which i did not. any ideas? any1 know where i can obtain a different set of bios to try?
