I’ve moved on and purchased a Mac Studio recently and will convert my trusty Mac Pro 4,1 to 5,1 for windows gaming. I’m looking to put a 2080 in there. I see there are many variations of the card being the cooler is larger and longer. I will do a pixlas mod. My question is what is the max size of the video card I can fit in the system? I know the sapphire nitro doesn’t fit because it’s 310 MM long. Does anyone have the exact size?

Depends how the card messure.
e.g. My 313mm long PNY XLR8 1080Ti can fit inside the cMP very well.

I suspect because this card they messure the whole card's length. But that Nitro only measure the cooler, which not include that little PCIe metal mount.
PNY XLR8 series has 2080 as well, which is shorter than my 1080Ti. If you worry about the length, you may pick this one. If budget allow, the 2080Ti will be even better (which still shorter than my 1080Ti).

Just switched to the Green Team. After discuss with another member here. I agree that I should choose a reference 1080Ti. That should have least problem. Because Nvidia test their web driver with their own reference card. However, the actual Nvidia brand 1080Ti is considered very expensive...
