Hey people. Ill keep this short. I got a Mac Pro with no hard drive or video card. I bought a Radeon 6870 to run in it since it is supposed to run out of the box in OSX Lion.

Since the 6870 doesn't show bootscreen, will I be able to install OSX Lion off my USB drive? Basically since the hard drive is formatted, and if I plug in the USB drive, it should boot into the installer, correct? If so, will the 6870 have correct drivers to show the installation process?

If not, what will I have to flash to the 6870 to make it show bootscreen and the installer? I got the XFX HD-687A-ZHFC, and I have 2 desktop PCs that I can use to flash if needed.

Even the smallest bit of help is appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance!

With a built in DVI port and Two Mini Display Ports your Mac Pro will be able to run Apple's current line of 27" LED Cinema Displays right alongside any DVI monitor you may have. The big news with these cards is that when running a single DVI display, you will be able to see the Apple EFI boot screens. At this time, this functionality is only available by using this port. Having additional displays connected at boot will cause you not to see the boot screens
